In April 2008, Annie Totten gave birth to Bloumebaby.com as an effort to create and establish a leading specialty retail brand for babies and moms in the US that would provide healthy, sustainable products without losing modern style or quality. Shortly after, in February 2009, Annie Totten was blessed with the birth of her first child, Jack.

“Babies come to us completely pure,” says Totten. “I believe it is our daily duty and our place to protect them. It is our responsibility to take care of each other and our planet. My son, Jack, inspires me daily – I want to give him the best and healthiest life possible. My passion for giving all babies what they deserve, a pure beginning, is what ultimately inspired me to launch the Bloume baby brand.”

Combining her love for children, fashion and the earth, Totten always envisioned creating her own retail concept that embodied all three. She comes from an entrepreneurial family that has motivated her to do so: her Father owns Montessori Schools and her Mother owns an antique and interior design shop. Born and raised in La Jolla, California, Totten began her corporate retail career at GAP in San Francisco directly upon graduating from Santa Clara University. While at GAP, she worked in the Merchandising division for GapKids and BabyGap where she helped launch GapMaternity. Totten then moved south to Los Angeles and worked for Babystyle before landing at Disney where she held the position of Director of Merchandising for Kids & Baby Apparel for all national Disney stores.

Totten launched Bloumebaby.com to provide consumers with a place to purchase stylish, healthy, sustainable products and to promote a green lifestyle that she is passionate about in her own day-to-day activities. As the Bloume baby brand continues gaining momentum, Totten hopes to inspire a larger audience of followers to utilize more environmentally friendly business practices.

Totten currently resides in Manhattan Beach (what she calls the closest thing to heaven in Los Angeles) with her husband, Jay, and her son, Jack Harrington Totten. She loves being outside, running, snowboarding, traveling, good wine, a great cheeseburger, throwing dinner parties with friends and family and says it’s a 3-way tie for her favorite place on Earth – Lake Tahoe, Maui or Yosemite.
